Sam Wilde collaborated with the municipal of Shenzhen, China to create a series of street art sculptures themed around a radioactive reimagining of The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett.
Step inside a giant hedge maze alive with glowing plant forms, towering flowers and drifting islands. Enticing, distorted, and impossible to trust, a world where nature has mutated beyond its own rules. And at its centre, a vast blue monarch butterfly hovers in omen of the toxic paradise that lays beneath.
Part living organism, part synthetic spectacle, an artificial Garden of Eden in perpetual bloom.
A large-scale installation in Shenzhen by Sam Wilde showing a large blue butterfly sculpture.
