Textile Talent
Sam Wilde’s relationship with Svenskt Tenn began in early 2018 with the creation of two conceptual textile artworks for exhibition within the historic Strandvägen store. Developed in response to Josef Frank’s Beast Rug and Monster Rug, Sam’s fine art patterns explored imagined landscapes that examined the balance between the natural and the modern.
This distinctive contribution to Svenskt Tenn’s design narrative introduced a more illustrative and story-led approach to textile pattern. Demonstrating how contemporary imagination could sit confidently within the brand’s heritage of craft and colour.

Swedish Roots
Beneath their decorative surface, Sumptuous Getaway and Quandary Quagmire carry a narrative about coexistence and consequence.
The imagined islands and roaming creatures act as metaphors for the fragility of natural spaces, turning pattern into a lens for contemplating the worlds we construct to make sense of our own.
